I use Google Chrome & Avast internet security. I have a Dell, Windows 7 laptop that is just over a year old. The avast has been working quite well. However, over the past couple of days my internet browsing has been interrupted quite frequently by numerous types of pop up ads, usually it gives me Shoppingcove.com pop-up. It is really annoying. I run Avast scan but it shows nothing. Any help to remove this pop-up will be highly appreciated.

Step 2: Stop the processes associated with Shoppingcove.com Virus in the Window Task Manager 
The virus are random.exe 
On Window XP: Open the Window Task Manager > Press Ctrl+ Alt + Del keys at the same time > choose the Conduit Search > Press the “EndProcess”button


On Window 7/Windows Vista: Click Task Bar > Click Task Manager > Click the processes related with the virus under the processes tab



On the Window 8/8.1: Click the Task Bar > Click the processes related with the virus under the processes tab


Step 3: Display all the hidden file
On Window XP: End up all programs > Click on the Start button > Click on the Control Panel menu option > Click on the Appearance and Personalization link > Click on Show Hidden Files or Folders under the Folder Options category > Select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders > Press the Apply button > Press the OK button


On Window7/Vista: Open Libraries > Choose show Hidden Files or Folders under the Folder Options category of Tools > Select the radio button labeled Show hidden files, folders, or drives under the Hidden files and folders section > Delete the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide extensions for known file types > Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) > Press the Apply button > Press ok button.




On Window 8/8.1: Click on the Windows Explorer > Click on View tab > Check “Hidden items” box


Step 4: Remove all the files related to the Shoppingcove.com Viru

Way 1: Find out “Run” box (Win+R) > Type Regedit into the Run box > Click ok







Way 2: Click start > open Start Menu > Type Regedit into the Run box > Click ok
