How do I remove FBI cybercrime virus from my laptop? 


When I booted up my laptop this morning it went to a screen with this long message saying "FBI Cybercrime Division" and I have to pay $300 to get my laptop unlock. Laptop will not go to desktop and system restore keeps failing. Help?


What is FBI Cybercrime Division Virus?


FBI Cybercrime Division Virus is defined as a kind of a detrimental ransomware which aims to lock up the users’ computers to blackmail their money. Once installed, FBI Cybercrime Division Virus will disable the users’ system’s operation and make their computers’ desktop stuck on a page with logo which named FBI Cybercrime Division Virus. Meanwhile, there will be a recording webcam on the users' locked screen as well. It try to threat the users by the FBI Cybercrime Division has accessed the users’ webcam and took their pictures. Actually, it is just a trick made by hacker, please don’t pay the money to them. Because you did not involve in any illegal activities that the FBI Cybercrime Division screen claimed, so you do not need to worry about being accused, what you should do is to delete the virus immediately to unlock their PC.

Thus violating Article 2, Section 1, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code of United States of America. Article 2, Section I, Clause 2 of the Criminal Code provides for a deprivation of liberty for 4 to 12 years.

Pursuant to the amendment to the Criminal Code of United States of America of May 05, 2013, this law infringement (if it is not repeated – first time) may be considered as conditional in case you pay the fine to the State. Fines may only be paid within 72 hours after the infringement.
As soon as 72 hours elapse, the possibility to pay the fine expires, and a criminal case is initiated against you automatically within the next 72 hours!
To unblock the computer you must pay the fine through MoneyPak of $300.
When you pay the fine, your PC will get unlocked in 1 to 72 hours after the money is put into the State’s account. Since your PC is unlocked, you will be given 7 days to correct all violations.
In case all violations are not corrected after 7 working days, your PC will be blocked again, and a criminal case will be initiated against you automatically under one or more articles specified above.



The advice to get rid of the FBI Cybercrime Division Virus:


Step 1: Restart the computer in Safe Mode with Command Prompt:
Restart the computer > Keep pressing F8 key before Window start-up shows > Choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt > Press Enter key.





Step 2: End process from Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del)
The virus is random:

Step 3: Display all hidden files:
On the widow XP:
End up all programs > Click on the Start button > Click on the Control Panel menu option > Click on the Appearance and Personalization link > Click on Show Hidden Files or Folders under the Folder Options category > Select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders > Press the Apply button > press the OK button



On Windows 7 / Vista
Open Libraries > Choose show Hidden Files or Folders under the Folder Options category of Tools > Select the radio button labeled Show hidden files, folders, or drives under the Hidden files and folders section > Delete the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide extensions for known file types > Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) > Press the Apply button > Press ok button.







Step 4: Delete all the files produced by FBI Cybercrime Division Virus:
